[ITALY] Obbligo di indicare origine del pomodoro

Dallo scorso 27 agosto, è entrato in vigore l'obbligo di indicare in etichetta l'origine dei derivati del pomodoro. Validactor soddisfa pienamente questa direttiva.

La disciplina è applicata a conserve e concentrato di pomodoro, sughi e salse composti almeno per il 50% da derivati del pomodoro.

Le confezioni di derivati del pomodoro, sughi e salse prodotte in Italia devono avere obbligatoriamente indicate in etichetta:
- il nome del Paese nel quale il pomodoro viene coltivato
- il nome del Paese in cui il pomodoro è stato trasformato
Nell'ottica di una massima trasparenza viene stabilito inoltre che se le fasi di lavorazione avvengono nel territorio di più Paesi possono essere utilizzate, a seconda della provenienza, le diciture: Paesi Ue, Paesi non Ue, Paesi Ue e non Ue.

Se tutte le operazioni avvengono in Italia si può utilizzare la dicitura Origine del pomodoro: Italia.
Le indicazioni sull'origine devono essere apposte in etichetta in un punto evidente e nello stesso campo visivo in modo da essere facilmente riconoscibili, chiaramente leggibili ed indelebili.

Dinamic Data in Static Codes

"Our development teams released today the feature for manufacturers to print VACodes on their packaging and labels before producing the goods. This will streamline global production allowing manufacturers to use printed VAcodes when they really need them" added Mr. Sergiano.

"This is crucial for both manufacturers that produce labels in-house and even more important for external services such as label printing companies. There will not be anymore the need to overprint already printed labels (or packaging boxes or envelopes). Once the label is applied or the packaging is used, with few clicks each already printed VACode will be linked to real and valid product data" concluded Mr. Sergiano.
